The Customary Election Regulations of the Alexis First Nation
On January 27th, 2022 Chief Tony Alexis signed a letter about a Special Band Meeting Notice about Amendments to the The Customary Election Regulations of the Alexis First Nation (1997). The notice stated that the meeting is scheduled for February 10, 2022 at the Alexis Community Hall from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This notice failed to meet the requirements under the regulations. The Chief and Council were notified by members that they breached and violated the regulations by not providing proper notice and copy of the draft proposed changes.
